Plot:

Kousuke Ueki, a student of the Hinokuni Junior High School, is picked by a God Candidate, Koba-sen, to participate in a competition where people battle out to become God and only the strongest will prevail. Embodied with the ability to turn garbage into trees, Kousuke will be joining in the battle against other junior high school students in this selection. This sets the premise for the earth-friendly battle where the students will pit their powers against the rest.

This anime is a good series, not great but not bad either, just good. It has n excellent storyline with an original idea of using God candidates and their respective subordinates to fight for them in order to become God. The use of the blank talent or “zai” as a price would provide an endless array of possible choices with which the victor of the tournament posses. Although the God portrayed in the anime was a bit too much, he himself has provided a lot of humor in the story. The story drags on for a short time, not nearly developing into a good plot.

The choice of talents given to the other fighters may be a bit laughable and weak. Some talents are just plain and downright absurd. The main character may have been provided with an early advantage, being a heavenly being as opposed to mere human opponents, although he did not know it at the early part of the story.

He used the strengths as a heavenly being when he fought his first battles through immense stamina to get back up after falling down again and again. It gets interesting at the final battles when he fights against other heavenly beings just like himself. His friends do fight a lot against themselves in the story but when fighting against tough opponents; the will to survive and win gives them the chance to become stronger and tougher and to help each other out.

The game has its own bright points. The character’s portrayal of his “justice” can give hope and chance to everyone around him including the viewers of this anime. His sense ob belief in one another’s ability and to constantly put his life on the line to save others can give inspiration to those who are down in life. The anime’s soundtrack is also appealing to hear. Lastly, it is an anime you would want to watch over and over. It provides good humor, nice action sequences and the ability to make one focus on gathering friends for life.
